Today, we present you the new Loftux Themes pack. This pack consists of 16 themes based on Bootswatch theme package available for Twitter Bootstrap.

Update: The pricing and other information related to Share Themes pack is now available.

Looking a bit back at history, the last major visual overhaul for Alfresco came with Alfresco 4.2 through new theme called light theme. Before that, Loftux AB had Share Themes Pack made available for free. The Share Themes Pack consisted of vividly coloured themes that were specifically designed for Alfresco. Many people enjoyed using the Alfresco default themes as well as tried and used the Loftux themes.

With the release of Alfresco 5.0 with Aikau and LESS support everyone thought it would be simple to customise and create new themes for Alfresco 5.0. Except it wasn’t. There was a number of stylesheets that contained individually hardcoded colour values which made theming incredibly difficult.

These stylesheets didn’t seem to be going anywhere, so we decided to solve it. When we finally solved it, we had built a nice set of tools that could be used to easily customise the visual look and feel of Alfresco. It also natively supports generating themes based on Bootstrap themes.

The following themes from Bootswatch will be available for Alfresco (every theme on bootswatch) from Loftux AB starting today.

  • Cerulean
  • Cosmo
  • Cyborg
  • Darkly
  • Flatly
  • Journal
  • Lumen
